Cragside Primary School has been at the heart of the High Heaton community for over 70 years. We are proud to be a welcoming and caring school in which each child is enabled to succeed.

The children are empowered to take an active part in their learning and we provide a rich variety of experiences which promote their personal, social, physical and creative development.

Summer term is here are we're all looking forward to some warm weather and getting out on the field at playtimes. Our outdoor environment has been given a real boost with new play structures in the Key Stage One Quad, paid for by the Parents, Teachers and Friends Association. This is going to be a great resource for the children in Reception and Key Stage One and should get loads of use this term - den building and even some fire lighting are on the agenda! Of course all of the children have a lot of hard work to get through as well, and we are delighted with the way in which they continue to respond to our high expectations of their progress. The second half of the term includes many keenly anticipated events such as the Music Concert, Sports Events and Year 5 & 6 end of year production. This is a great opportunity for our Year 6 children to showcase their great talents and enthusiasm before leaving us for pastures new in July. It's going to be a great term!
